Chef De Partie

We are currently recruiting for the role of Chef de Partie to join our growing company, helping us to expand our business and build on our reputation for excellence.

  • Takes care of daily food preparation to meet the standard and the quality set by the Restaurant.

    Coordinates daily tasks with the Sous Chef.

    Responsible to supervise junior chefs or commis.

    Able to estimate the daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

    Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.

    Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.

    Full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production and presentation standards.

    Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

    Personally responsible for hygiene, safety and correct use of equipment.

    Checks periodically expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section.

    Should be able to set an example to others for personal hygiene and cleanliness on and off duty.

    Daily feedback collection and reporting of issues as they arise.

    Assess quality control on a daily basis.

  • Pre-Intermediate spoken English.

    Flexible working hours due to the need of the business.

    Ability to work under pressure.

  • 2 double shifts and 3 single shifts per week, 2 days off.

    Double shifts start in the morning, finishing closing the restaurant with an hour break.

    Single shift starts in the evening before the dinner service.

  • Mon-Fri: 12pm-11pm

    Sat-Sun: 11am-11pm.

Salary and Benefits:

  1. Salary offer will be made on completion of the trial. We make our decision based on candidates’ skills and professionalism.

  2. Additional electronic tips system is in operation.

  3. Payroll is on the monthly basis – last Friday of the month. Emergency advance payments are available in exceptional circumstances. Tips are also paid out at the end of the month unless it’s a personal cash tip.

Hiring Process:

We are hiring people to stay and grow with us for a long time, therefore we take great care in selecting those we invite to join our family. This is what our hiring process looks like:

  1. Recruiting – short call with recruiter to discuss the vacancy, check permission to work in the UK, check the level of spoken English.

  2. HR interview – on-line video chat about your previous employment, your qualifications, your plans and ambitions, character evaluation.

  3. Operations Director/Owner/Line manager/Head Chef video call for 10-20 min talk about the company values and discuss how you could fit in.

  4. Trial shift (3 hours, unpaid) at the premises with direct communication with any of the above. In a rare event when more trials are needed to determine your level of professionalism - further trials will be paid at the rate of £10 per hour.

  5. Decision is made and your offer prepared.

  6. Once the offer is accepted, a contract in your name is prepared and issued.

  7. Contract is signed via electronic signature and you are all set to start.
